I'm in Boston visiting my parents. They invited some of their friends over for dinner and all of them are taking turns making me feel like a little kid despite the fact that I'm thirty. They all find it hilarious that I'm polite and reserved in spite of where I came from. I'm a perfect target for teasing, really.
Anyway, it isn't all so bad, I suppose. I'm eating well and catching up. I don't see my family nearly enough these days. How is everyone else enjoying their Thanksgiving?

I'm so endlessly happy that it's Friday. This week has been stressful. I feel as though I haven't come out of my office for air.
What are everyone's weekend plans?

Hi, everyone. I've been working here for more than five years, so most of you should know me. Just in case, though, I'm Ted Davidson. I'm the school psychologist. I'm the irritating person who will invade your classroom and suggest teaching techniques in the event that things get out of hand. Also? I get to listen to all of our wonderful parents and children complain about the school and staff when someone is falling behind. I'm terribly weird, because through all of this, I enjoy my job. Quite a lot, actually. I'm one of those lucky ones that gets to deal with a smaller school, at least.
Obviously, I cannot talk about my consultation sessions in here, so I'm going to have to resort to talking about myself a lot of the time. You will not have to pretend that you're interested. I promise that I'm not going to judge you if you skip over my blog entries. I've come to grips with the fact that, try as I might, I'm not the most charismatic, intriguing individual.
So, fun Ted fact #1. I was informed today that my office is dreary and depressing, so I'm looking for ways to spruce it up. What would everyone suggest? Perhaps a plant or two? Maybe a goldfish? A painting? There are many possibilities.
